Frequently Asked Questions
Kid’s Camps
When does the camp start and end?
Camp is from 9:30 to 3:30, though if you are registered for before/aftercare then the hours are 8:30 – 4:30. Please arrive promptly for pickup and do not arrive early as I may not be ready for you.
What does a typical day at camp look like?
Our general format for the day is:
– Meet and Greet, Introductions
– Safety & Conduct Expectations
– Glass Show and Tell
– Glass Cutting and Tool Practice
– Glass Art Making!
– Lunch
– Clean up
– Field trip (neighborhood art walk)
What should my child bring?
Please have your camper wear good walking shoes, warm clothes and a raincoat, and bring a (nut free) lunch and a water bottle. I will provide a few snacks. Also please label your child’s belongings as I frequently end up with lost and found items (especially water bottles!).
For those who are interested, interspersed throughout the day will be tree climbing and reading in the loft “relaxation zone”. Please leave any electronic devices such as smartphones or gaming devices at home.
Also, if you are new to camp, please fill out the liability waiver and bring it with you to camp. Or you can fill it out online.
How do I get to camp?
My studio address is 8323 28th Ave NW, Seattle WA, and the studio is to the rear and right of my house.
MapHow do I get my child’s “glassterpieces” when they are done?
The children’s “glassterpieces” will be ready for pickup in bags on my front porch two to three days after camp, so you can swing by anytime after that to collect them.
