“I scheduled Marcia’s workshop for my 60th birthday. It was a “girls day out” and included my 13-year-old granddaughter. We had a wonderful, fun-filled day – with lots of laughter, wine (we provided!), snacks and love. We created a fused glass star and each participant worked on a “leg” of the star. Marcia is patient, funny, inspirational, and most of all super talented. I highly recommend a workshop and/or afternoon doing one of her events. (BTW, she is AWESOME with young adults!).

Parties: Not Just For Kids!
I am known for many things, including children’s birthday parties. The kids come to my colorful studio with their besties and family members and each participant makes a sparkly, dangly-glass name ornament with copper letters, along with an assortment of keychains and/or jewelry. The birthday person gets to sit in the giant red chair, we eat cake, open presents, and a fine time is had by all. A few days later each guest gets a bag with their presents – their very own “glassterpieces.”
“How come the kids get to have all the fun?”
And–each time we have these parties at least one grownup says: “How come the kids get to have all the fun?” The answer, of course, is that glassy fun is to be had by all!
For example, recently I hosted a 50th birthday party for a lovely gal and twelve of her girlfriends who had flown in from all over the country. Each person made sparkly, fused-glass pieces (small window ornaments, earrings, keychains, pendants) and a custom mosaic piece that was melted into a four-step fired platter for the birthday gal. So fun! I’ve also had party guests work together to make a large window ornament for the birthday person while enjoying tasty snacks and libations in my festive work space.

Parties are 2 ½ – 3 hours. Your group is welcome to bring beverages and snacks.
